My prince is turning 8 months old

Turned 1st June, my little prince turned 8 months old. Just overnight, he seems grew up so much. First, he can crawl, perfectly..and very fast. My heart beat stopped multiple times due to his fast actions. Secondly, he just learnt how to stand. In fact, he is trying to ask me to let go of his hand so that he can stand by himself. Thirdly, he is more chatty. Much much more than before. That includes..abang..sound like abam.. ayah...sounds like ayyaaa... But he called mommy as mmmmmmmmmm.... Hmm..how difficult to call mommy? Anyways, he is cheekier and cheekier and he can do backstroke in the swimming pool

My prince is such a gem. Check out his pic with his niece. Aren't they adorable? Counting my blessing every day...

Reflection

Sadness surrounded me and my loved ones for the last couple of weeks. This is the biggest test for us and it is sometimes overwhelming. The recent incident made me realize that we need to start to be aware of our surroundings. Bad things that happened to other people, may one day be your nightmare. I guess we have been very naive to think that certain things could not happen to us just because it never happened yet.

While I know that things happened for a reason and there's a lesson that the Almighty wanted us to learn out of this, it still hurts. I pray for the strength for everyone involved, I hope His guidance will always be with us, leading us to the right path. One lesson that I learnt, family ties can't be broken and the love is endless with no boundary. We will go through this....

A Trip to Temasek

It has been more than a month since our last trip back to Singapore. I was still under the weather during the trip, due to the food poisoning from my prior trip to HK, causing my hubby to wonder whether I'm putting a strike against him (for not talking that much that is..).

My Little Precious seems excited meeting his siblings and niece. He had stolen his grandma, aunts and cousin's heart with his usual charms.

Singapore is much cooler compared to KL. So it's a good break for us (from the heat that is....) Our no-so-little Charmer are now getting more and more handsome and he is aware of that. We tried to have a conversation with him about not having girlfriends at that such young age (note the plural)..but he tried to avoid the subject. My other half cunningly told the Charmer that I would like to have a word with him about his girlfriends. The Charmer gave me the 'do-not-embarrass-me-in-public' look as we have they were a couple who sat next to our table were eaves dropping our conversation. As a good mom.. I spared him...chewah!

It rained cats and dogs on our trip back to KL, so the trip back is much longer than we anticipated. Nevertheless we arrived safely by 8 pm and by 9pm, I'm off to bed with my little precious whilst my hubby quickly freshen himself up to be back infront of the TV to root for Red Devil. I knew Red Devil must have won, coz he was in such a good mood...

Being Away For The First Time

I'm writing this entry from my hotel room in Hong Kong. This is the first business trip since I got my Little Precious and this is the first time I do not look forward to travel at all. The meeting is too short to have Little Precious tag along with me. Just looking at his picture made me missed him so so much (sob sob sob..all teary...).

Last night, he refused to sleep at his normal hour. He kept on laughing and insisted for me to play with him. Although he dozed off in front of the TV, when I changed him into his pyjamas, he opened his eyes and gave me the sweetest smile. He was babling and cooing while I packed and only almost midnight we cuddled and fell asleep. Later on, he only woke up twice for approximately 20 minutes each time, and this morning, when I left for the airport at 6.30 am, he was still sound asleep. I did not have the heart to wake him up, so I just planted a kiss on his cheeks, and whispered that I love him so much.

I called my hubby during lunch, and he said Little Precious will be alright. I guess my hubby is right, my little boy will be doing fine. Unfortunately, I am not okay. 18 degrees Celcius outside my room, but I'd rather be in the hot and humid country of mine, hugging my little angel. Missing my baby like crazy. My honey bunny, mommy will be home in 2 days time okay? Be a good boy. Love you...

What A Journey 2009 Was

Goodness, I've been ignoring this blog for a while now. I used this blog to get connected with my siblings and with every siblings on Facebook, we kinda exchanged comments like "anyone going back to see abah and mak this weekend?", "what's the plan on CNY?" on FB status. What a genius that young chap who created FB :-)

Anyways, what happened to me? A lot of things had happened since the last posting in August 2009. I gave birth to my son on Oct 1. Was on 2 months maternity break. Got myself a maid..(oh no...yep..I'm one of the working mom who will be complaining about their maids over lunch time..he he ). Came back to work mid December. Celebrated my new year at work as usual. The only difference, I have my hubby waiting for me at my office lobby around 1 am. The next day, we went back to Singapore for my hubby's cousin's wedding.

Oooh.. I got myself another niece in December - Shakiratul Nabilah. She looked exactly like my son..amazing. And you know what it means..? My son is still the only grandson for Zakaria's family :-) ...but not for long now. As I write this post, my sister is now in labour room, delivering her 3rd child, the 2nd grandson. At least my son now has male cousin..hahaha.

To sum up 2009 for me, being pregnant for 9 months and 2 months on maternity leave. That explains why I don't write as often as I wanted to eh? I hope I can spend more time on my blog this year...call it my new year resolution..hehehe. Hope that I'm not pregnant this year..otherwise this blog will be abandoned ...again. Cheers..

A Prosperous Year Indeed

Wow, more than half a year I have not been writing on this blog. This year, Zakaria's family has not been meeting each other as often as we wanted to. My Labi, since she joined main campus has been busy almost every weekend. No more spending time with me, her Labu, to venture on our little crimes..ha ha.

However, this year, there are few additions to Zakaria's clan. First came Rauhah Humairah in the month of May, then it'll be my firstborn, due in October, next Man's will be due in December..and in January, Lina will give birth to her 3rd child. Can you imagine how's our 2010 family potrait will look like???

Idi is in Form 4, so grown up and he is so active in Nasyid..in fact he is competing in National Competition..not as a singer..but main gendang..hahah. OK la tu kan Idi?

Kak Chik is in campus, Amir had Rauhah this year, Man is still in Jakarta and Lina is every busy with her campus activities and her super intelligent kids.

I'm going back to Kulim next week to meet Lina and Man. May be can put up some pictures then..

Here to Wonderful 2008 and a Anticipated 2009

In the beginning of 2008, I have made a resolution that I will focus on myself this year..and I just did that. It turned out the decision has changed my life totally.

In the career department, I've moved to a level that I've worked hard for. I'm lucky that I have a great boss and working with a great company that recognize my contribution continuously. So despite the long nights and weekends/public holidays that I have to spent at work, I can rest assured that it will not go unnoticed. Alhamdulillah....

On the personal side, I've met a wonderful man who is now my husband. I always wonder how people can tell whether they have met their soulmate. You know what, if you meet the one, you'll know that he is the one. The path to our marriage was so smooth that at one point we were skeptical as it was too good to be true. Hence, when things are moving too fast, rather than you freak out and take a break, my recommendation is to just go with the flow. If you meet the right person, things will be easy. It should not be hard.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone, especially my friends, siblings and relatives a wonderful 2009 ahead. For those who had a great year like mine, let's give ourselves a toast. For those who feels that 2008 could be better, let's wish 2009 will promise greatness and happiness. My new resolution - balanced life and strive to be a better wife, mother, daughter and friend.

Cheers everyone..see you next year!!!
